Angela Gardner is an Executive Coach with more than 30 years of experience partnering with C-suite executives and high-potential leaders across media, entertainment, consumer technology, and nonprofit organizations.  

Known for her thoughtful, direct and highly personalized approach, Angela helps leaders strengthen executive presence, navigate complexity, and position themselves for meaningful growth and long-term impact.  Her work sits at the intersection of leadership, performance, talent, and transformation – with a particular focus on helping individuals align who they are with how they lead.

Angela brings a rare combination of strategic insight, pragmatism and humanity to her coaching. Drawing on decades of experience advising senior leaders in fast-moving and highly visible environments, she partners with clients to sharpen decision-making, build influence and lead with greater clarity and confidence during periods of growth, transition, and change.  

Most recently, Angela served as Partner-in-Charge of Heidrick & Struggles’ in Los Angeles, where she led the firm’s Southern California teams and advised clients across the media, entertainment, and consumer technology sectors. Previously, she built and led Fox Entertainment Group’s first in-house executive talent function and spearheaded talent strategy through a number of key acquisitions and the formation of Hulu. She also served as Head of Global Executive Recruiting at Yahoo! 

Angela began her career with Heidrick & Struggles in London and has lived in Southern California since 2000. 

She currently serves on the Advisory Boards of World Technology Games and STEM Advantage, and has been a Director/Coach for 50/50 Women on Boards since 2017.

Angela holds a BA (Hons) Psychology from Bangor University, which also awarded her an Honorary Fellowship for her contribution to leadership development and diversity. She is a Hudson Institute Certified Coach and holds the ACC accreditation from the International Coaching Federation.  Angela is also certified in Hogan Assessments (HPI, HDS, 

MVPI), and is a Lumina Spark Practitioner.
